Job summary

Awerian, a Cambridge‑based consultancy, is seeking a hardware security consultant to assess cyber-physical vulnerabilities and develop PoC demonstrators. You will work across hardware, software, and systems with rapid design and implementation approaches.

The role encompasses deep technical exploration, prototyping, and collaboration with clients and experts to deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• Strong undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Physics.
• Understanding of electronics hardware, sensors, and systems.
• Experience interfacing with and debugging hardware (e.g. JTAG, UART) or test equipment.
• Ability to design and build hardware prototypes and demonstrators.
• Creative, independent mindset with broad interest in cyber security.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze systems to identify cyber-physical vulnerabilities.
• Develop proof-of-concept demonstrators using multiple components.
• Prototype and troubleshoot hardware and software integrations.
• Collaborate with clients and internal experts to deliver outcomes.
• Present findings and recommendations for further research.
