Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Cyber Engineering Manager to lead and develop the Cyber Security Engineering team. You will set direction, prioritise activity and ensure value from security tooling and investments across a large technology estate.

This leadership role requires moving from a technical cyber background into people leadership, influencing stakeholders and shaping cyber security strategy while overseeing security platforms and automation improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing technical cyber security teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Solid understanding of Cyber Security Engineering, Security Operations and Security Architecture.
• Experience with enterprise security tooling and platforms.
• Knowledge of Defender, Sentinel, Zscaler and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and inspire a team of six Cyber Security Engineers.
• Set the direction for Cyber Security Engineering across a large technology estate.
• Partner with Cyber Architecture to align solutions with technology strategy.
• Oversee development and optimization of security platforms.
• Drive automation, efficiency and continuous improvement across the cyber function.
• Maximize value and ROI from security tooling.
• Manage third-party suppliers and technology partners.
• Lead security technology renewal and investment activities.
• Manage competing priorities to ensure successful delivery.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across technology and the business.
