Job summary

Intact Insurance is seeking a Cyber Defence Transformation Analyst to drive continuous improvement, automation, and data-driven security capabilities. You will focus on vulnerability management, exposure management, and SOC operations to align with evolving threats and business priorities.

Responsibilities include delivering a roadmap for tooling improvements, embedding best practices, and measuring outcomes to reduce risk while enabling scalable security across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cyber defence domains and security operations.
• Experience with vulnerability management, exposure management, SOC operations and threat intelligence.
• Proven ability to automate using workflows, scripting or orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of APIs and data flows across security platforms.
• Familiarity with CTEM, NIST or similar standards.
• Understanding of secure architecture and secure by design principles.

• Identify inefficiencies and implement automation to reduce manual effort and speed responses.

The Cyber Defence Transformation Analyst is responsible for driving the continuous improvement, optimisation and automation of cyber defence tooling, processes and practices. The role focuses on enhancing operational effectiveness, enabling scalable and data driven security capabilities, and ensuring the Cyber Defence function remains aligned to evolving threat landscapes and business priorities.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Defining and delivering a roadmap for continuous improvement across cyber defence tooling and operational processes
• Identifing inefficiencies and implement automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency and speed of response
• Embedding best practice frameworks and modern approaches, including exposure management, attack surface reduction and shift left principles
• Establishing metrics to track operational performance, efficiency gains and risk reduction outcomes

Your skills and experience:

• Strong understanding of cyber defence domains including vulnerability management, exposure management, SOC operations and threat intelligence
• Experience with security tooling such as vulnerability scanners, SIEM, EDR, identity security and attack surface management platforms
• Proven capability in automation using workflows, scripting or orchestration tools
• Knowledge of system integration patterns, APIs and data flows across security platforms
• Familiarity with modern frameworks such as CTEM, NIST or similar cyber security standards
• Understanding of secure architecture principles and secure by design approaches
