Vitacress in Runcton, Chichester, is seeking a hands-on Machine Operative to join the Herbs Production team. You will operate and monitor packing line machinery to ensure products are packed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This permanent, full-time role offers a 4-day working week and a competitive rate. The position provides training and development opportunities, with a supportive team environment to help you build manufacturing and machine operating skills.

We're looking for a Machine Operative to join our Herbs Production team in Runcton.

This is a hands-on role operating and monitoring packing line machinery to ensure products are packed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Setting up and operating production machinery
• Running packing lines safely and efficiently
• Carrying out quality and product checks
• Monitoring machine performance and reporting issues
• Ensuring products are packed and sealed correctly
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures
• Completing production checks and records
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and housekeeping
• Working with Line Leaders and the wider Production team to meet daily targets

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Machine Operative, Production Operative, Food Production Operative, Factory Operative, Process Operative or Machine Minder
• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or food production environment is beneficial
• Good attention to detail
• A strong focus on quality and safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, motivated and a good team player
