Customs Compliance Specialist

Are you passionate about global trade and compliance? Join us as a Customs Compliance Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant import/export operations. This is your chance to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with teams across the business to solve challenges and improve processes that keep our global trade running efficiently.
As a Customs Compliance Specialist, you are accountable for, but not limited to:
Manage daily operational issues related to global trade compliance.
Advise internal stakeholders on import/export regulations and best practices.
Maintain accurate records and prepare analysis for audits and reviews.
Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance.
Assess economic and political risks impacting international trade.
Ensure adherence to all applicable trade laws and regulatory requirements.

International Trade: Brings expertise in global trade markets, regulations, and operations, with hands‑on experience in trade compliance and export controls. Skilled at managing international trade activities while ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Handles multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively, manages competing demands, and works collaboratively to resolve conflicts and re-prioritise work as needed.
Problem Solving: Leads problem‑solving efforts by organising teams, applying appropriate techniques, and developing effective resolutions for complex issues. Captures lessons learned and contributes to improving standard practices and processes.
Data Gathering & Reporting: Manages data analysis and reporting, prepares cost‑benefit evaluations, and ensures accuracy across multiple projects. Reviews complex reports, oversees data‑gathering initiatives, and supports tool selection while coaching others on data calculations.
Degree in business or legal‑related field.
Experience managing customs functions in a fast‑paced manufacturing or logistics environment.
Level 3 Certificate in Customs Compliance (UK).
Familiarity with Ricardo Duty Management System or similar tools.
