Job summary

DFDS is seeking a Customs Clearance Clerk to support cross-border movement of goods across borders. You will prepare and check customs documentation, ensure accurate data entry, and handle inquiries from internal teams and authorities.

The role requires at least 3 years of customs clearance experience, strong communication, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment. 12-hour shift pattern on days and nights, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' current customs clearance experience.
• Strong understanding of customs procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, accuracy and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and checking customs and associated documentation.
• Ensuring accurate data entry into relevant systems.
• Handling queries from internal teams, customers, and authorities.
• Liaising with hauliers, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
• Monitoring shipment progress and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of customs procedures and compliance.
• Supporting colleagues to deliver a smooth end-to-end clearance process.
