Job summary

PSM Recruitment Ltd is assisting a well-established international logistics business in Dover to recruit an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk. The role involves handling customs declarations and supporting the smooth movement of goods across borders on 12-hour day and night shifts.

You will ensure accurate declarations, comply with UK customs regulations, and liaise with customers, hauliers and authorities to resolve queries and keep shipments moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' current Customs Clearance experience.
• Strong understanding of UK Customs procedures and compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good IT skills and experience using Customs software.

• Preparing and processing Customs declarations and associated documentation
• Accurately entering information into Customs systems
• Liaising with customers, hauliers, internal departments and Customs authorities
• Resolving Customs queries quickly and professionally
• Monitoring shipments and proactively dealing with any issues

PSM Recruitment is working with a well-established and respected international logistics business in Dover to recruit an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, supportive team where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods across international borders. This position operates on 12-hour day and night shifts, offering a varied and fast-paced working environment.

As a Customs Clearance Clerk, you'll be responsible for ensuring Customs declarations are completed accurately and efficiently, helping to keep freight moving while maintaining full compliance with Customs regulations.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:
