Job summary

Vitacress Herbs is seeking a Customer Technical Manager (12 months maternity cover) to act as the key technical contact for customers, ensuring food safety and quality while driving continuous improvement at Vitacress Herbs, Lagness Road, Runcton, Chichester.

You will lead audits, guide investigations, and develop improvement plans, collaborating closely with production, procurement and NPD to deliver technical excellence and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food industry technical management role with responsibility for customer-facing relationships.
• Knowledge of BRCGS Standards, food legislation, HACCP principles.
• Experience hosting customer audits and third-party audits.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary technical contact for key customers, managing audits, visits, complaints, product launches and reviews.
• Lead customer complaint investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Create and deliver customer technical improvement plans across site.
• Manage customer communications relating to incidents, recalls and non-routine microbiological issues.
• Generate and present KPI reports, complaint trends and improvement updates.
• Support launches, specification management, supplier approvals and benchmarking activities.
