Job summary

The People Co. is looking for a Technical Manager to ensure a smooth supply chain from supplier to customer at their London Head Office. The successful candidate will manage nutrition and allergen information, build strong supplier relationships, and oversee quality and compliance standards.

Ideal candidates should have experience in the food sector, particularly in retail and QSR environments, along with robust knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage quality systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a technical role within manufacturing and QSR/food service.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of HACCP & quality procedures.
• Advanced food hygiene certification.
• Experience managing NPD projects.
• Experience managing Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers regarding nutrition and allergen information.
• Work with development team to ensure products meet food safety guidelines.
• Manage product specifications and supplier compliance.
• Ensure quality, safety, and legality of all food products.

We are seeking a Technical Manager to join a fast‑growing business at an exciting stage of its journey. Based at our London Head Office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the supply chain runs smoothly from supplier to customer, with every detail carefully considered.

You will lead on nutrition and allergen management, while building strong, trusted relationships with key suppliers. This is a highly visible role where technical expertise and commercial awareness go hand in hand.

The ideal candidate will bring broad experience from the food sector, including retail, manufacturing and QSR or food service environments. You will be confident working with centralised distribution models, managing suppliers effectively and applying robust HACCP and quality systems. A strong understanding of food hygiene is essential, alongside the ability to translate complex technical matters into clear, practical guidance that supports the wider business.

Key Accountabilities:

• All customer communication relating to nutrition and allergen information.
• Working with the development team to ensure the products developed can be implemented in line with the company and legal food safety guidelines
• Specification management
• Supplier management and product quality compliance
• Ensuring the quality, safety and legality of all food products
• Building great relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet high standards
• Drive ethical compliance of all supply partners
• Drive quality standards with suppliers and restaurant teams
• Sign off on retail packaging, ensuring it adheres to UK legislation

Person Profile:
