Job summary

Shepley Spring Ltd. in West Yorkshire seeks a Customer Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to manage customer orders and organise transport across three sites, ensuring timely and cost-effective finished goods movement.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, warehousing and logistics partners to maintain high service levels and OTIF delivery while leveraging 3PL systems and retail software to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, transport, logistics, or distribution, preferably within FMCG.
• Experience with 3PL providers and transport planning systems.
• Knowledge of retail in-house software (e.g. Tesco Connect, Trans Pereon, Amazon).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and transport management systems (TIMS).
• Experience with Sage 200 would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other supply chain management tools.

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, transport costs, and compliance documentation.
• Support audits relating to transport and distribution activities and contribute to sustainability initiatives.

JOB ROLE: Customer Supply Chain Co-Ordinator
JOB LOCATION: Shepley, West Yorkshire
REPORTING TO: Customer Supply Chain Lead

Shepley Spring are the UK’s leading bottled water manufacturer with over 20 years’ experience in production and are proud to remain a family run business to this day.

The company operates in three manufacturing facilities in Yorkshire and owns several high-speed production lines with the capabilities of producing both still and sparkling water servicing leading retailers such as Morrisons, Lidl, Booker Tesco and Sainsbury through private label and produces the brands Ice Valley® and White Rock® exclusively.

Summary:

The Customer Supply Chain Co-Ordinator is responsible for processing orders from customers & organising transport collection request across all three sites, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of Finished goods.

This role plays a key part in supporting operations between manufacturing sites, warehouse facilities, and customer deliveries. The Customer Supply Chain Co-Ordinator will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure high service levels and OTIF delivery.

Job Specfication:

Customer Service & Communication:

• Act as the first point of contact for customer order and transport-related queries, both internally and externally.
• Process Daily orders for customer base and book correct Transport with Haulier.
• Provide updates on delivery status to customers and internal teams.
• Resolve transport-related complaints promptly and professionally.

Transport Planning & Coordination:

• Plan daily transport schedules for collections and deliveries across all sites.
• Optimise delivery routes to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of vehicles.
• Monitor real-time delivery performance and adjust plans as needed to minimise delays.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, transport costs, and compliance documentation.
• Support audits relating to transport and distribution activities.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve working practices all while maintaining service levels.
• Support sustainability initiatives by optimising loads, reducing empty miles, and improving fuel efficiency.
• Suggest and help implement process improvements within transport and wider supply chain operations.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams, carriers, and customers.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of transport regulations and an understanding of logistics best practices.
