Job summary

OurCoop is recruiting for a friendly, customer-focused store team member in the Birmingham area. You will help run the store day-to-day, cover checkouts, shop floor duties, housekeeping, and administration while engaging with customers and promoting membership.

No prior experience is required; you will learn on the job with support from the team, and you’ll enjoy a warm, inclusive workplace with opportunities to grow within the Society.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required but a friendly, proactive attitude is essential.
• Willingness to learn and engage with customers and community.
• Pride in appearance and actions and a warm, approachable manner.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations: checkouts, shop floor, housekeeping and administration.
• Carry out date code and temperature checks, assist in-store bakery when needed.
• Promote membership benefits to customers and help them join the Society.
