The Role

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for local producers seeking assistance with waste fee payment requests. Your responsibilities include handling inquiries related to invoice amounts, payment instructions, disputes, and complaints. Communication will be mainly via phone, with additional interactions through online chat, email, and postal mail. You will also address IT-related queries regarding the payment process and escalate them to Service Now when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer queries via phone, email, chat, and post.
  • Provide information about the program to customers.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Raise tickets in Service Now.
  • Redirect tickets to appropriate resolving areas.
  • Handle disputes and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow up on outstanding queries.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and government regulations.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a contact centre or similar environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and resilience to handle difficult conversations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
