North Lanarkshire Council in Scotland is seeking a Customer Service Officer to deliver frontline services to residents across Housing Offices in Airdrie and Coatbridge. You will handle enquiries, provide cash handling and clerical support, and work with a flexible approach in a busy environment.
We require proven experience in frontline customer service, strong communication skills, good IT literacy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while ensuring accuracy and good numeracy.

To provide the highest level of customer service, we are seeking to recruit a Customer Service Officer with experience of working in a busy customer focused environment.
You will provide excellent front line services to our residents including dealing with enquiries relating to a wide range of council services. You will also be responsible for cash handling and clerical support when required.
It is essential that you can demonstrate experience of dealing with front line enquiries in a busy customer service environment, have excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver a high standard of customer care, well developed IT skills and a flexible approach to work. In addition, moderate cash handling experience, clerical and team working experience together with good literacy and numeracy skills are essential. You will be expected to work with minimal supervision, have strong decision making skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy while working in this busy environment.
You may be required to cover any Housing Office within North Lanarkshire.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
