Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc in the US is seeking a Customer Service Logistics Coordinator to plan outbound shipments, coordinate order-to-delivery and ensure regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Project Management and Commercial teams, monitor on-time delivery and handle customs, incoterms and ERP/MRP updates.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and process outbound shipments from the United States with regulatory/compliance.
  • Coordinate order-to-shipment execution and scheduling.
  • Review demand variances and update ERP/MRP accordingly.

  • Monitor on-time delivery and identify delays/root causes.

Customer Service Logistics Coordinator

Location: Devon, PA or West Chester, PA

At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Customer Service Logistics Coordinator, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life‑saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.

The role:
  • Planning and processing outbound shipments from the United States, ensuring all documentation and quotations meet regulatory and trade compliance requirements.
  • Coordinating order-to-shipment execution, including shipment scheduling and alignment with customer delivery requirements.
  • Reviewing demand variances and ensuring accurate demand signals are reflected in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Partnering with Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Project Management and Commercial teams to support customer commitments.
  • Monitoring on-time delivery performance, analysing delays, identifying root causes and escalating risks where required.
  • Acting as a logistics advisor on customs, incoterms and route changes, ensuring compliant outbound finished goods movements.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in manufacturing or supply chain operations with working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Understanding of import/export regulations, customs processes and global trade compliance.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate across functions.
