The Exchange in Warrington is seeking an organised administrator to provide accurate customer service and warehouse support. You will process orders, update records, and communicate with customers, couriers and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and returns.

This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse-office environment while remaining calm and professional when handling inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, administration, data entry or a warehouse environment is desirable.
  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Confident using computers and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and email.
  • Ability to learn warehouse management, order processing or CRM systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with customer complaints or urgent requests.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries by telephone, email and other communication channels.
  • Provide accurate information regarding orders, deliveries, stock availability and expected delivery times.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and escalation more complex problems to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain a professional and helpful approach when dealing with customers.
  • Liaise with customers, couriers, suppliers and internal departments as required.
  • Accurately enter and update customer orders, delivery information and stock-related data on company systems.
  • Process amendments, cancellations and returns in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate customer and order records.
  • Check data for accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
  • Produce basic reports and spreadsheets when required.
  • File and maintain relevant documentation and records.
  • Work closely with warehouse operatives to ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched correctly.
  • Communicate urgent or priority orders to the warehouse team.
  • Investigate missing, damaged or incorrect orders and coordinate appropriate solutions.
  • Support stock checks and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Assist with delivery and dispatch queries.
  • Follow all company health, safety and operational procedures.
  • This is a warehouse-based role with administrative and customer service responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with warehouse operatives, supervisors, management, customers and external delivery partners.

Job description

In this role, you will provide accurate and efficient customer service and administrative support to the warehouse team.
