Job summary

BP Retail in Harlow is seeking a Customer Service Assistant for night shifts to welcome customers, handle orders and support the Wild Bean Café. You will be trained online and on the job to develop essential customer service and teamwork skills in a busy retail environment.

The role emphasises safety, service speed, and the promotion of bp offers, with opportunities for progression and inclusion in a supportive team at BP Retail.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willing to learn with online and on-the-job training to develop skills.
• Open to working nights and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise safety of yourself, colleagues and customers.
• Serve customers efficiently and meet their needs promptly.
• Create a positive, inclusive work environment aligned with bp beliefs.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks from the Wild Bean Café.
• Receive deliveries, replenish stock and manage stock tasks.
• Promote bp offers, promotions and loyalty scheme.
• Carry out cleaning duties across store, facilities, and forecourt.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp’s offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
