Vertu SEAT Darlington invites applications for a Customer Service Apprentice. You will join our team and complete a 15-month Customer Service Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by an external provider, supported by our Internal Talent Team.

You’ll gain hands-on experience and work towards a nationally recognised qualification in customer service and the automotive industry. You’ll learn to welcome customers, explain servicing steps, keep customers updated, and develop strong communication and IT

Qualifications

• No automotive experience required; attitude and willingness to learn are key.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills desired.
• Ability to work as part of a team and be reliable.

Due to continued business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Apprenticeto join our team at Vertu SEAT Darlington.

As part of your role, you’ll complete a 15-month Customer Service Level 3 Apprenticeship, delivered by an external training provider and supported by our Internal Talent Team. You’ll gain valuable hands‑on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification and developing skills that can help you build a long‑term career in customer service and the automotive industry.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside our experienced Service team, you’ll learn how to provide an excellent experience for our customers from the moment they contact or visit the dealership.

Your role will include:

• Welcoming customers and being a friendly and professional first point of contact.
• Helping customers understand the servicing and repair process.
• Keeping customers updated on the progress of their vehicle.
• Explaining information clearly and confidently.
• Contacting customers before appointments to confirm their requirements.
• Following up with customers after their visit.
• Processing payments and completing paperwork accurately.
• Keeping customer and vehicle information up to date on our systems.
• Introducing customers to additional products and services where appropriate.
• Supporting the wider Service team to ensure customers receive a great experience.
• Completing your apprenticeship training and putting your learning into practice.

What are we looking for?

You don’t need previous automotive experience to apply. What’s most important is your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

• Has good basic IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
