Job summary

NFU Mutual insurance agency in Knighton is hiring a friendly, professional Customer Service Adviser to deliver outstanding service and tailor insurance solutions for customers. You will handle enquiries by phone, email and face-to-face, build lasting relationships, and contribute to team targets.

The role offers full-time hours (35 per week), a contributory pension, ongoing training and a focus on career development. Closing date 30 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, sales, administration or insurance.

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding service to new and existing customers via phone, email and face-to-face conversations.
• Handling customer enquiries, policy changes and renewals efficiently and accurately.
• Supporting customers with a range of personal insurance products, including motor and home.
• Building strong, long-lasting relationships with customers through excellent service and advice.
• Identifying opportunities to discuss additional products and services that may benefit customers.
• Assisting with quotations, policy administration and general office tasks.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
• Working closely with colleagues to achieve individual and team objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing outstanding service to new and existing customers via phone, email and face-to-face conversations.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in customer service, sales, administration or insurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, professional and confident manner.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to multitask and manage a varied workload.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and other business systems.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the insurance industry.
• A proactive approach and a strong team ethic.

Experience within insurance is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
