A leading consultancy is seeking a Customer Operations Manager based in Warrington. The role involves managing procurement and supply chain operations for key customer accounts, focusing on cost savings and supplier performance. Customer Operations Manager (Manufacturing / MRO)
Warrington (with some UK travel)
£45,000 - £48,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent benefits

Do you have a track record of delivering cost savings and operational improvements within manufacturing or engineering environments?

Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify opportunities for both procurement and operational cost savings for your key customer accounts
* Lead and deliver cost down projects, particularly looking at TCO (total cost of ownership) for MRO/Consumables purchases
* Manage supplier relationships, tracking vendor performance through KPIs such as OTIF and NCRs, resolving issues as they occur
* Manage inventory for MRO/ Consumables, maintaining accurate inventory data and determining MRP parameters such as min/max levels
* Develop strong working relationships with other teams to effectively collaborate on internal projects
The role is based in Warrington, but will involve frequent business travel to sites across the UK. Requirements for overnight stays will be infrequent.
Ideal skills and experience
* Proven hands-on experience in a Procurement / Supply Chain / Account Management role within Manufacturing or Engineering
* Strong customer facing experience
* Ability to thrive in a technical manufacturing environment
* Track record of delivering improvements and efficiencies in key areas such as Cost Savings, Supplier Performance and Inventory
* Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
* Confident negotiation and influencing skills
* Willingness to work onsite 5 days per week
* Driving Licence (frequent business travel to other sites, circa 50% travel)
Remuneration
£45,000 - £48,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits including 28 days' holiday plus bank holidays and private health insurance!
