Job Description:

Amazon’s Private Brands team is currently seeking a talented, dynamic, and detail-oriented Senior Insight Manager based out of Seattle or London.

Private Brands is a key area of expansion for the company, and as a Senior Insight Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of products and categories in a high-paced, fast-growth environment.

The ideal candidate will be a customer-obsessed strategic thinker and a self-starter who can design the business’s research roadmap and drive a customer-centric culture in Private Brands.

As a Senior Insights Manager, you will create and deliver the insights agenda that will lead to improved product innovations and Brand Health. You will bring the customer and marketplace perspectives to the processes by conducting qualitative and quantitative research on marketplaces, brands, and customers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Being the custodian of the business’s research methodologies and insight knowledge while continuously looking for new solutions in terms of process, methodologies, and analysis.
  2. Identifying the availability and quality of the various insight sources to regularly monitor the performance of the brands and categories.
  3. Performing recurrent quantitative and qualitative analysis on customer behavior by segment, identifying purchasing patterns and opportunities to foster engagement, retention, and spending.
  4. Generating impactful and actionable business recommendations and insights to be shared with internal partners to inform top management decisions.
  5. Coordinating and directing the work of external market research partners.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Be methodical, analytical, objective, and goal-focused with a strong need for accuracy in solving complex problems.
  • Understand and interpret customer and industry research data to influence product roadmaps and brand strategies.
  • Identify, assess, track, and resolve issues and risks at multiple levels.
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence senior management and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Enjoy solving problems and crafting strategic and tactical solutions.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, thinking big while paying attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with executives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing or marketing research.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across multiple time zones and languages.
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and identify improvements.
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience driving alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with global strategic partners.
