Our vision for Private Brand Product Safety and Compliance (PBPSC) is to support Amazon’s mission of offering a wide selection of safe and compliant products. We are seeking a smart, hardworking, and creative candidate to join our Global Requirements and Operations Team as a Product Safety Compliance Manager for Softlines and Hardlines. The position can be located in London, Seattle, or Luxembourg.

Key job responsibilities

1. Work with internal Private Brands stakeholders and business teams to develop innovative solutions to safety and compliance requirements using high-level process/system solutions.
2. Collaborate with the Regulatory Intelligence team to assess impacts of new, emerging, and changing product regulatory requirements.
3. Propose updates and improvements to safety and compliance protocols.
4. Make high judgment decisions for product development escalations and safety investigations.
5. Guide business and legal teams on product safety and compliance issues.
6. Support post-market incident management with our audit team.

About the team

The Requirements and Operations Team ensures compliance and safe products for our Private Brands. The Product Safety Compliance Manager will oversee safety and compliance procedures for Softlines and Hardlines, supporting implementation, managing escalations, and building scalable processes while maintaining high standards for worldwide compliance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience in Hardlines manufacturing or retail in product safety

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree
• Experience with Six Sigma
• Experience creating sustainable compliance processes
• Expert knowledge of NA and EU labeling and packaging for Softlines and Hardlines
• Understanding of NA, EU, and LATAM regulatory requirements
• Experience with children's products or food contact regulations
• Experience with international regulatory bodies (e.g., GSO, ACCC, JISC) is a plus
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
