As a Customer Insight Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in helping our business understand our customers better, what they value, how they experience our services, and where we can make improvements. Your work will directly influence strategies across customer experience, marketing, and operations.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading customer research and insight projects, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Developing and driving our Voice of the Customer (VoC) programme, ensuring every part of Stagecoach understands and acts on customer feedback.
  • Managing our ongoing customer KPIs and reporting, helping colleagues at every level interpret results with confidence.
  • Synthesising insights from multiple sources to tell compelling stories that inform business-critical decisions.
  • Supporting innovation workshops, customer immersion activities, and co-creation initiatives.
  • Sharing the latest insights from external research bodies to keep Stagecoach ahead of industry trends.
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in consumer or market research, able to deliver projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, you’re comfortable building credibility at all levels, from front-line teams to senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of survey design best practice, with experience using platforms like Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey.
  • Ability to analyse and visualise data using tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex findings into clear, simple insights that drive action.
  • A human-centric ethos: you focus on helping colleagues understand what customers think, feel, and do, not just the data behind it.
