Job summary

PPG's Glasgow Johnstone’s Decorating Centre is looking for a Sales Assistant to join our full-time, permanent team. You will help customers at the trade counter and in-store, promote our architectural coatings, and support product selection with friendly, knowledgeable service.

We offer training, a competitive starting salary with yearly reviews, an uncapped bonus scheme, 33 days’ annual leave, a 39-hour week with overtime or lieu time, and a generous pension. Driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer facing environment is desirable
• Good understanding of IT systems
• Driving licence is needed for this role

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter and in store, in a friendly and professional manner.
• Undertake all required training to confidently select the correct product for customers’ needs.
• Ensure store is well-presented and clean.
• Follow stock procedures by taking deliveries and keeping shelves full.
