Job summary

Farmer Copleys is a Yorkshire based, award winning farm business with a busy farm shop and on-site facilities. We are looking for a friendly, reliable Butchery Counter Assistant to join our team in Pontefract, focusing on excellent customer service at the counter and helping to pack and present products.

No prior butchery skills required; you will be trained on the job in a busy retail environment, with flexible hours and opportunities to grow within the business.

Qualifications

• Friendly, enthusiastic and personable.
• Flexibility to work every Monday, Tuesday and Friday, plus every other weekend.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Smart in appearance with high standards.
• Retail or customer service experience would be an advantage.
• Hardworking, honest, reliable and passionate about their work.
• Sound knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Hygiene, Health and Safety procedures.
• Able to safely lift, carry and move products as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the butchery counter.
• Confidently serve customers and handle enquiries professionally.
• Help pack products and ensure high presentation standards.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and presentation to a high standard.
