Job summary

Unite Group, trading as Unite Students, is hiring a Student Experience Team Member in London North. The role focuses on warm, safe, and inclusive student living, welcoming residents at reception, resolving issues, and supporting community events.

You will collaborate with teams across housing, facilities, and ambassadors to drive bookings and create a home students are proud of. The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with shifts 7am–10pm across 5 days from 7am to 10pm, weekends on rota.

• Excellent customer service in hospitality or retail to create welcoming experiences.
• Warm, caring and approachable with clear communication.
• Strong time management and organisational skills for multiple tasks.
• Ownership mentality and willingness to help others.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly front of house reception and build rapport with students.
• Respond promptly to feedback and guide students to appropriate support.
• Support sales through viewings, inquiries, and campus events.
• Help deliver community events with Resident Ambassadors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment.
• Coordinate with day and night teams for seamless service and handovers.
• Support wellbeing and welfare matters and take action when needed.
• Act as a brand ambassador in line with CARE principles.

Student Experience Team Member

Contract Type: Permanent

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, between the hours of 7am and 10pm. Weekends will be required on a rota basis.

Salary: £29,160 + bonus + benefits

As a Student Experience Team Member, you`ll play a key part in delivering a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel supported and valued. You`ll work closely with your Student Experience Team Leader, peers, housekeeping, facilities, and Resident Ambassadors to create positive everyday experiences?from welcoming students at reception to resolving issues quickly, leading flat viewings, and helping organise vibrant community events. Every day you`ll make a real impact, connecting with students, driving bookings, and helping build a place they`re proud to call home.

Your impact

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, ideally with a background in hospitality or retail, to create positive and welcoming experiences for students.
• Be warm, caring, and approachable, confident in communicating and answering student inquiries efficiently.
• Possess strong time management and organisational skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Take pride in doing what`s right and supporting others.
• Preferred, have experience in a customer service role or residential environment - though this isn`t essential. What matters most is your ability to connect with people and create a safe, welcoming atmosphere.
• Taking ownership of problems and act quickly to resolve issues, ensuring student satisfaction and safety.
