Job summary

SPAR Playing Place, operated by A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd, is hiring a Customer Team Member (18+) for temporary 5-hour shifts with flexible rota options. You will assist the store team, greet customers, handle tills, and help maintain stock and displays.

The role supports a fast-paced convenience store environment with emphasis on great service and up-selling. Benefits include staff discounts and access to pension schemes; full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar retail role is preferred.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and able to follow procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly manner and assist with inquiries.
• Process purchases accurately at the tills and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain stocking and cleanliness on the shop floor; rotate stock for freshness.
• Support management with store tasks and contribute to a positive customer experience.
