Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd’s SPAR Grantham store is hiring a Customer Team Member (18+). The role is 16 hours on a rota basis, Mon-Fri 6am-10pm with more hours for sick/holiday cover. You’ll deliver great customer service, support store operations, and help maximise sales in a busy convenience environment.

The role includes handling tills, assisting customers, and supporting shop floor tasks while adhering to company policies. A friendly, reliable team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
• Reliably follows instructions and procedures with attention to detail.
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering customer service and driving the store forward.
• Experience with a ‘Challenge 25’ policy desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Assist customers with products and services and help them find items.
• Process purchases efficiently at the tills with accurate handling.
• Upsell selected products and highlight multi-buy offers to drive sales at the Grantham SPAR.
• Stock shelves, check deliveries, maintain clean shop floor and rotate stock for freshness.
• Complete additional tasks such as price changes, promo displays and stock checks.
