Job summary

John Lewis Glasgow is seeking a Customer Assistant to deliver outstanding service, engage with customers, and highlight our in-store experiences that differentiate us from competitors.

You will maintain shop standards, assist with till operations, stock replenishment and general shop-keeping, with flexible hours across early mornings. Your focus will be on customer care and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment for every visitor.

Qualifications

• Basic IT literacy is required.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is welcome but not essential.
• Merchandising and product displays experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
• Using product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits for the Partnership.
• Put the customer at the heart of everything you do and resolve queries they may have.
• Work flexibly across the shop to support the wider team, including till support, stock replenishment, price ticketing and general shop-keeping tasks.
• Identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.
• Help protect profits by supporting with accurate stock counts.
