About The Role

As one of our Installation Specialists based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you'll have the unique opportunity to bring our distinctive John Lewis service right to our customers' doors and install the products they love into their homes (such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TV sets) as part of a two-person delivery crew. Roles Available: Customer Delivery Hub Driver - Driver Trainee & Installer

Position: Permanent

Location: Logic Park (Leeds)

Salary: Starting rates: Driver Trainee - £26,700 (Annual), Installer Trainee - £29,000 (Annual)

Note: All applicants must be over 18. The roles involve heavy lifting, delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, furniture, beds, and mattresses.

Driver Trainee Responsibilities:

1. Complete the 12-month Customer Delivery Driver Trainee programme to become a fully qualified John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer.
2. Provide excellent customer service, representing the John Lewis brand.
3. Assist in loading your vehicle and collaborate with the warehouse team.
4. Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations appropriately.
5. Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use to customers.
6. Stay updated with new products and technologies.
7. Maintain a safe working environment.

Essential Skills for Driver Trainee:

• UK B-Category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Interest in technology and installation.

Desirable Experience:

• Previous installation and delivery experience.

Driver Installer Trainee Responsibilities:

1. Complete the 3-month Customer Delivery Installer Trainee programme.
2. Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
3. Load deliveries with the warehouse team.
4. Respect customers' homes and resolve issues effectively.
5. Install products efficiently and demonstrate their operation.
6. Keep up to date with new products and technologies.
7. Maintain a safe work environment.

Essential Skills for Installer:

• Manual C1 UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• DCPC and Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Good communication skills and understanding of technology.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in home delivery and installation of electrical and furniture products.
