About the role

As an Installation Specialist based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you'll have the opportunity to deliver our John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TVs as part of a two-person delivery team. Salary:

Starting at £26,700 (Driver Trainee), £29,000 (Installer Trainee) annually

Note: Applicants must be over 18 due to role requirements.

Driver Trainee Responsibilities:

• Complete a 12-month training program to qualify as a John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer.
• Provide excellent customer service, representing the John Lewis brand.
• Assist in loading deliveries and collaborate with warehouse staff.
• Respect customer homes and handle unexpected situations professionally.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use.
• Stay updated on new products and technologies.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Note: Role involves heavy lifting of large items like sofas, appliances, and furniture.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• UK B-Category manual driving license with no more than 6 points.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Interest in technology and installation.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience in installation and delivery roles.

Installer Trainee Responsibilities:

Complete a 3-month training program to become a qualified John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer.

• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Load deliveries with warehouse assistance.
• Respect customer homes and resolve issues effectively.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate their operation.
• Keep up-to-date with product knowledge.
• Ensure safety during all operations.

Note: Heavy lifting involved, delivering large items such as sofas, appliances, and furniture.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Manual C1 UK driving license (max 6 points).
• DCPC and Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving 7.5-tonne vehicles.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good understanding of technology.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Experience with home delivery and installation of electrical and furniture products.
