Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:

• Ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy
• Leaving the back yard clean and free of rubbish, picking up litter as I see it
• Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
• Loading the van as required and checking the van for roadworthiness
• Speaking to the customer about changes to their order, including substitutions, offering a refund for anything they are unhappy with
• Taking care of products and deliveries as if they were my own
• Explaining to the customer that substitutions will not be charged extra
• Delivering during the customer’s time slot
• Calling the customer before arriving if arriving early
• Calling the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more late

Requirements

• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit

• Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store
• Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work
• Share ideas with the Manager and colleagues on how to improve the store
• A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
• A valid driving role via licence requirement as applicable
