About the role

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll bring quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos—passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's smooth operation in a friendly environment. Due to the role's nature, applicants must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in-store, reviewing your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support shop tasks as needed, such as general housekeeping.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, adaptable.
• IT literate.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles, is advantageous.
