Job Description: Delivery Driver (6-Month Fixed Term)

This position is a 6 months fixed term, working 24 hours per week, any 3 in 6 days including bank holidays.

Our drivers are the face of our business, and their interaction with our customers is crucial to our success.

In this role, you will be delivering frozen Wiltshire Farm Foods meals and bringing sunshine to our customers' doors (regardless of weather). You will enjoy meeting people and be willing to go above and beyond expectations.

Additionally, you will work within our coldstore at -20ºC. Protective clothing will be provided, along with breaks to warm up and enjoy hot drinks.

You will work as part of a wider team, always looking to assist the office team. We encourage movement between teams for flexibility, job satisfaction, personal development, and broader knowledge of the business.

Responsibilities include:

1. Deliver frozen meals to customers promptly
2. Pick orders within the coldstore
3. Use our app to update customer deliveries
4. Provide exceptional customer service
5. Inspect your van before shifts
6. Drive safely and responsibly
7. Maintain your van (cleaning, refueling)
8. Report discrepancies or delays to the office
9. Ensure customer confidentiality
10. Assist office and picking teams when needed
11. Report safety, stock, or mechanical issues
12. Support team members during absences or holidays
13. Conduct local marketing activities to attract new customers

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in customer service roles
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Basic computer skills, including phone apps
• Proof of work stability
• Secondary education

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in multi-drop delivery roles
• Experience in care roles
• Warehouse experience
• Health & Safety awareness

Personal Qualities:

• Friendly, reliable, approachable
• Passionate about customer service
• Good attendance and punctuality

Must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 2 years.

Employment is subject to driving assessment, licence checks, and DBS checks. As the role involves working with vulnerable customers, a basic DBS disclosure is required.
