Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It's our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). We value flexibility and would love to hear from you regardless of your preferred hours.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, we deliver from Lands' End to John O'Groats. Our drivers meet and talk to customers daily, making this role about more than just driving: it's about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.

This role is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and you'll have support from managers and colleagues back at the depot.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized.
• Leaving the delivery area tidy and picking up litter.
• Washing trays as required.
• Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness.
• Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds.
• Handling products carefully and delivering within the agreed time slots.
• Calling customers if early or running late.

Requirements:

• Build positive relationships with colleagues.
• Be warm and welcoming to customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change.
• Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations.
• Share ideas for improvement.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
