Job summary

Asda in South Shields is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to join our store team on a part-time, permanent basis. You will be loading your van, delivering to regular customers and ensuring orders reach customers' doors with a smile.

When not on the road, you’ll keep the van tidy and assist with online orders as required. You’ll need a valid UK driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with minimal penalty points, plus a customer-focused, team-oriented approach and flexibility

Qualifications

• A valid UK Driving Licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Load your van and deliver orders to customers' front doors.
• Deliver items with care and a friendly smile.
• Keep the van clean and well maintained for the next delivery.
• When needed, help the team by picking and packing online orders.

Whether you’re loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
