Job summary

Asda is recruiting for a Customer Delivery Driver in Merthyr Tydfil. This part-time role involves loading the van, delivering to customers’ front doors with a smile, and supporting the store team during busy periods.

You will need a friendly, customer-focused approach, good communication, and the willingness to learn. The job includes weekend and evening shifts, with training provided to handle duties safely.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload the van and prep for deliveries.

• Keep the van clean and well-maintained for the next delivery.

Whether you’re loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you’re not on the road, you’ll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don’t worry, you don’t need to be an expert mechanic – we’ll give you all the training you need) and whenweare really busy, you’ll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.

What you’ll bring:

• A valid UK DrivingLicence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• A friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Good communication skills and a team mindset.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings – no two days are the same.
