Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for the Abbey Park area. The role is part-time, permanent with afternoon shifts, and involves delivering orders to customers at their doors. You will load your van, maintain it, and assist with online orders when needed.

The ideal candidate has a friendly, customer-focused approach, strong teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn. A valid UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points is required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing delivery experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work afternoons and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers’ homes in a friendly, timely manner.
• Load and unload parcels and ensure van is clean and safe.
• Assist with online order picking/packing during busy periods.
• Interact with customers to provide a positive service experience.

Whether you’re loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.

• A valid UK Driving Licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings – no two days are the same.
