Job summary

Asda in Plymouth is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to join our store team on a part-time basis. You’ll load your van and deliver groceries to regular customers, helping ensure the smooth running of our home delivery service.

This afternoon-shift role (22 hours per week) offers training, a friendly team, and the chance to build customer service skills while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a team mindset.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Load van and deliver orders to customers.
• Keep van clean and fit for next delivery.
• Support team during busy periods, including online order picking and packing.
• Provide friendly, proactive customer service.
• Comply with driving and safety regulations.

Whether you’re loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
