Job summary

John Lewis Partnership’s Waitrose team is seeking a Supermarket Assistant in the UK. You will support customers on every visit with our partner-led service and passion for food, assist with stock replenishment, online orders, and general shop duties to help customers have a great shopping experience.

We offer varied part-time hours (9 hours across seven days) including late evenings and weekends (17:00-20:00). DBS checks may apply; flexible working arrangements can be discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for drivers to deliver to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and Markdown to sell-by dates.
• Supporting the wider shop team including checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
