Job summary

B&Q Lincoln is seeking a friendly Customer Advisor to join the Checkouts team on a part-time, fixed-term contract. You’ll be an expert advisor for customers, handle sales, click and collect, and help keep the tills running smoothly.

The role requires a flexible mindset, weekend/evening/bank holiday availability, and a willingness to learn new systems. You’ll contribute to a welcoming store environment and be part of a diverse, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and friendly attitude, with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work in a team and on a rota including weekends and bank holidays.
• Comfort with using new technology and store systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at checkouts.
• Process sales, click & collect orders, and operate tills accurately.
• Assist with setting up displays and maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Part Time - 12 hours per week

3 Month Fixed Term Contract

Shifts available Monday - Sunday, 7.00am - 10.00pm

UK Notional hourly rate £13.10 per hour

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
