Job summary

B&Q is seeking a part-time Checkouts Customer Advisor to join our team at Killingbeck. The role offers 10 hours per week with flexible shifts across Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–10.00pm.

A 3-month fixed-term contract and a notional hourly rate of £13.10 are provided, with training to support excellent customer service on tills. You will work to help customers, assist with click & collect, display setup, and ensure the store looks great while delivering friendly, proactive support in a busy retail

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, with a buzz from helping others.
• Happy to help and eager to learn new technology and ways of working.
• Able to work on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the checkouts.
• Drive sales through service and click & collect.
• Assist with displaying and store presentation to keep areas tidy and inviting.
• Exhibit great tills-based service and participate in training across areas when offered.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What We Need

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
