B&Q Limited in Evesham is hiring a Customer Advisor for Checkouts on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This part-time role is 10 hours per week with shifts across Mon–Sun, 7:00am–8:00pm, to support customers at the tills and assist with click & collect and in-store displays.

The hourly rate is £13.10 (including a £0.54 location allowance). You'll join a team focused on friendly, efficient service, with training available to grow your skills across store operations.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to help customers.
• Happy to learn and adapt to new technology.
• Comfortable working in a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the checkouts.
• Support click & collect, setting up displays and maintaining an attractive store.
• Operate tills and assist customers with purchases during shifts.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
