Job summary

B&Q Shoreham is hiring a Customer Advisor on a part-time basis, 12–16 hours per week, with shifts across Monday to Sunday from 6.00am to 10.00pm. You’ll be a helpful guide to customers, contributing to stock checks and display setups while delivering great service.

You'll learn paint-mixing and timber-cutting on the job, join a team that values friendliness and teamwork, and enjoy a varied shift pattern with opportunities to grow within a welcoming home-improvement environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, with a buzz from helping others.
• Able to work in a team and on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Willing to learn new skills and use new technology.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and assist customers with their home improvement projects.
• Manage stock and help set up displays to keep the store attractive.
• Maintain a tidy, well-presented store environment and assist with price displays.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you'll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You'll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What We Need

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you'll be right at home with us. You're friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You'll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You're great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
