Job summary

B&Q Great Western Road in Glasgow is seeking a Customer Advisor for a 3 month fixed term contract. The role is part-time (30 hours per week) with shifts across Monday to Sunday, 5am to 10pm, requiring full flexibility.

You will be paid £13.10 per hour and join a team focused on helping customers improve their homes. You’ll act as an expert advisor, assist customers with products, manage stock, set up displays and learn paint-mixing and timber cutting.

• Willing to learn new skills and adapt to new technology
• Able to work a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working.
