Job summary

B&Q Crewe is hiring a Customer Advisor on a permanent part-time basis (15 hours per week). Join us as an expert advisor who gets to know customers and their home improvement projects, with emphasis on great service and teamwork.

You’ll be trained in paint-mixing and timber cutting, while sales, stock management, and store presentation are key daily tasks. Flexible rota includes weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to learn and helpful to others.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays on a rota.
• Able to use new technology and learn new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Sell and advise customers with a focus on great service.
• Manage stock, set up displays and keep the store looking presentable.
• Opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and timber cutting; customer service remains key.

Shifts available Saturday & Sunday, 7am - 10pm

UK Notional hourly rate £13.10 per hour

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
