Job summary

B&Q Camborne is seeking a Customer Advisor on a part-time permanent basis. You will be the friendly expert helping customers with home improvement questions, stocking, displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting.

The role requires flexibility for weekends, evenings and bank holidays; training is provided, including paint-mixing and timber cutting. A positive, team-focused approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer experience.
• Comfortable assisting with home improvement advice and general product knowledge.
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment and on a rota.
• Willing to learn store systems and basic paint/timber tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with products and home improvement questions.
• Manage stock, setup displays and ensure the store looks inviting.
• Contribute to sales while delivering great customer service.
• Learn new techniques such as paint-mixing and timber cutting.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
