MindWise is seeking a role-based support worker to assist detained persons and vulnerable individuals in a police custody setting. The role involves explaining rights and processes, offering practical support, and ensuring adherence to PACE provisions across Northern Ireland.

Availability across days, evenings and weekends is required, with enhanced payments for call-outs and standby and a valid driving licence with access to a car for regional travel.

Qualificações

• Experience of basic computer packages, the internet and email.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Help detained persons understand what is happening to them and why.
• Give support, advice and assistance to vulnerable adults or juveniles in a police custody suite.
• Act in line with PACE provisions in Northern Ireland.
• Travel regionally when required.
