Police Scotland in Inverness is recruiting a permanent Criminal Justice Police Custody and Security Officer to join the Custody department at Burnett Road. The role focuses on care, welfare, security and escort of persons in custody in line with procedures and legislation.

The position includes a strong emphasis on administrative duties, processing of documents, and supporting Local Policing with inquiries.

Qualifications

• Processing, procedures and security of productions retained for possible use at court.
• Custody service for lost, found and stolen property handling.
• Administration of criminal justice processes including warrants and prosecution reports.

Responsibilities

• Handle custody processing and security for productions.
• Assist with administration of warrants and legal documents.
• Provide advisory support at public counter services and respond to queries.
