Care & Custody, a Mitie company, is recruiting nurses and paramedics to deliver direct clinical care to people held in police custody suites. Posts run 24/7 across base custody suites and the wider force area, with fixed day and night shift rotas.

Registration and police vetting are required. Roles suit RN/RGN or Paramedics with post-qualification experience; you will work alongside police within custody settings and develop clinical and forensic skills through training provided.

Qualifications

• NMC registration for nurses or HCPC registration for paramedics.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK; British passport or ILR with 3 years residence.

Care & Custody, a Mitie company, is recruiting nurses and paramedics to deliver healthcare to people held in police custody suites. The work is direct clinical care for detainees, alongside the police, with forensic training provided. Posts run 24/7 across a base custody suite and the wider force area, on fixed day and night shift rotas, full or part time. No prior forensic experience is needed, but registration and police vetting are required.

What’s required

Qualifications

• RN or RGN, or RMN with dual registration, with 2 years post qualification (Band 5 minimum)
• Paramedic qualification with 2 years post qualification

Registration & licences

• NMC registration for nurses, or HCPC registration for paramedics

Experience

• Minimum 2 years post qualification in a patient-facing role in a relevant field
• Relevant field includes general practice, A&E, emergency medicine, acute medicine, walk-in centres, substance misuse services, prison healthcare or ambulance service

Checks & eligibility

• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• British passport or ILR, and 3 years' UK residence with no absence abroad over 3 months
• Police vetting
