Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Custody Asset Servicing Analyst to support processing of clients' unit dealing activity in German and Swiss funds and German public funds from Bournemouth. You will partner with the ISS team in Frankfurt and global custody colleagues to deliver accurate service.

The role emphasizes risk management, process improvement and strong communication across internal teams and clients in a changing environment. German language skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of Controls, Checks, Instructions, and Queries
• Build strong internal working relationships with Frankfurt, Bournemouth and global teams
• Manage group email boxes and internal enquiry management tools to respond within prescribed service levels
• Work with Product, Network Management, Sub custodians and vendors to resolve day-to-day issues
• Manage individual workload to meet team and departmental deadlines
• Review and update existing processes to minimize risk and improve operations
• Provide support, guidance and training to strengthen the team and client experience
• Assist Senior Manager in day-to-day instruction process management and workload balancing
• Review all manual Controls for Timely Execution and Checks for accuracy

As a Custody Asset Servicing Analyst in the Institutional Shareholder Services team, you will play a vital role in the processing of clients' unit dealing activity in German and Swiss special funds and German public funds. This role gives you a unique opportunity to grow professionally within Custody Operations in Bournemouth, partnering with the ISS team in Frankfurt as well as teams in the wider Custody business, both locally and internationally.

Job responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of Controls, Checks, Instructions, and Queries
• Build strong internal working relationships and partnerships with colleagues in Frankfurt, Bournemouth and globally.
• Manage group email boxes and internal enquiry management tools to ensure queries are resolved and responded to within a timeframe and manner sensitive to the urgency of the event, and in accordance with prescribed service levels
• Work with Product, Network Management, Sub custodians and vendors to resolve day-to-day issues identified through daily operations and enquiry management
• Manage your individual workload to ensure individual, team and departmental deadlines and objectives are met
• Review and, where necessary, update existing processes or procedures to minimize risk and improve the operational environment
• Provide support, guidance and training to share knowledge and strengthen the team to enhance global client experience
• Assist the Senior Manager in the day‑day management of the instruction process ensuring effective workload balancing for team members
• Review all manual Controls for Timely Execution and Checks for accuracy

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

• Financial Services background, within a Custody or Security Services environment
• Successful performance in a risk-based environment with a proven track record of risk reduction
• Results based experience demonstrating strategic and analytical thinking
• Track record of working in a changing environment with the experience of learning, documenting and implementing new processes efficiently
• Experience of communicating both oral and written to management, clients and colleagues

• German language skill
